Indian Navy Agniveer Apprentice Recruitment 2026: The online application window for Indian Navy Agniveer (Apprentice) recruitment 2026 closed today (July 5, 2026) for registrations of the 01/2027 and 02/2027 batches. Unmarried Indian male candidates who meet the stipulated educational and age criteria can submit their applications through the official recruitment portal of the Indian Navy before the last date.This recruitment drive is open to candidates who have passed Class 10 with at least 50% marks in prescribed subjects and completed a three-year engineering diploma recognized by AICTE. The notification is published in the employment newspaper edition from June 6 to 12, 2026, while the application process begins on June 5, 2026.Eligibility and application detailsApplications are accepted in online mode only. Recruitment for Agniveer (Apprentice) 01/2027 and 02/2027 batches is ongoing while the first phase will be conducted during INET 2/2026. The number of vacancies has not been disclosed.All applicants are required to pay the exam fee of £550 plus 18% GST via Net Banking, Visa, MasterCard, RuPay credit or debit card or UPI. The notice pointed out that the fees will not be refunded under any circumstances after payment.Age standards for both batchesFor the 01/2027 batch, candidates must be born between December 1, 2004 and May 31, 2008, inclusive. For batch 02/2027, the eligible dates of birth are between May 1, 2005 and October 31, 2009. Candidates born between December 1, 2004 and October 31, 2009 are eligible to sit for INET 2/2026, while second phase eligibility will be determined based on batch-specific age requirements.Selection process and recruitment timelineThe selection process includes the Indian Navy Entrance Test (INET 2/2026), merit-based shortlisting, physical fitness test, second phase written test and enlistment medical examination. A statewide merit list will then be prepared before final medical formalities are taken up at INS Chilka.According to the schedule, INET 2/2026 is planned to be held in August 2026. Results are expected to be announced at the end of August or early September 2026. The second phase of batch 01/2027 is planned for October 2026, with induction in Chilka in December 2026. For batch 02/2027, the second phase is planned for March 2027, followed by induction in May 2027.
