DU Admissions 2026: Registration is open for one-year PG and MSc courses; UG priority filling will end on July 11

this Delhi University (Du) has started the registration process for one-year postgraduate (PG) courses for the 2026 academic session. The university has also opened applications for the Master of Science (MSc) course for candidates who have passed the Graduate Aptitude Test in Biotechnology (GAT-B) 2026.Eligible candidates can submit their applications through the DU PG official admission portal before July 11, 2026.Students who have qualified GAT-B 2026 can apply for two-year MSc in Plant Molecular Biology and Biotechnology for the academic session 2026-29.

Who can apply?

The one-year postgraduate course is only available to students who have completed a four-year undergraduate (UG) degree from Delhi University as per the Undergraduate Curriculum Framework (UGCF) 2022, which is based on the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020.To complete the application process, candidates must enter their University of Delhi (UoD) student number and date of birth.According to the university, admission to one-year PG courses will be based on merit obtained in four-year bachelor’s degree and meeting the eligibility criteria for the specific course mentioned in the admission announcement.

DU PG two-year admission

Delhi University has so far received 9,500 applications for its two-year postgraduate programme.The mid-term admission facility for these courses will remain open till July 5, 2026.The university will announce the third round seat allocation list on July 9, 2026. Seat allocation for performance courses such as Master of Arts (MFA), Bachelor of Physical Education (BPEd), Master of Physical Education (MPEd) and music courses will also be announced on the same day.

Delhi University also shared the latest updates on undergraduate admissions.According to the university, 1,48,407 applications have been received for DU Undergraduate (UG) admission 2026, while 62,524 candidates have completed the second phase of the application process.The last date to fill in course and university preferences is July 11, 2026.The Common Seat Allocation System (CSAS) UG 2026 first batch allotment list will be released on July 16 at 5 pm.This year, Delhi University is offering admission to 73 undergraduate and 150 Bachelor of Arts (BA) program combinations.Delhi University has also released the Bachelor of Technology (BTech) admission allotment list 2026. Candidates who have been allocated seats have until July 8, 2026 to accept the allocation.The application process for the five-year integrated law program closes on July 7, 2026.The university also informed students through its official X (formerly Twitter) account that the second phase of course selection will begin after the eighth semester results are announced. Candidates are advised to visit the DU official website regularly to know the latest admission schedule and further updates.
