HTET 2026 Exam Day Guide: Haryana Teacher Eligibility Test (HTET) 2026 begins today for Class 3 (PGT) exam, conducted by the Board of School Education, Haryana (BSEH). The state level examination will be held for two days for candidates of PGT, TGT and PRT categories. The authorities have issued detailed instructions covering check-in times, documentation, entry rules and what is allowed at the exam centres.A total of 2,33,294 candidates are expected to participate in HTET 2026, including 1,66,137 women and 67,157 men. Level 3 (PGT) examination is being conducted at 238 centers with a total of 73,091 candidates appearing. The Level II (TGT) exam will be held in 383 centers with a total of 1,19,141 candidates taking part, while the Level I (PRT) exam will be held in 139 centers with a total of 41,062 candidates taking part.Exam schedule and registration timeThe Level 3 (PGT) examination is scheduled to be held on July 4, 2026 from 3:00 pm to 5:30 pm. The Level 2 (TGT) examination will be conducted on July 5, 2026 from 10 am to 12:30 noon, followed by the Level 1 (PRT) paper from 3 pm to 5:30 pm on the same day.Candidates have been asked to report to the exam center 2 hours and 10 minutes before the scheduled start of the exam. This time has been allocated for security checks through metal detectors, biometric verification, thumb impression collection and identity verification. The test center will close one hour before the test begins.Documentation and permitted attireCandidates must carry a one-page color printout of their HTET admit card, including the center copy and the candidate’s copy. They must also carry the original photo ID used while submitting the HTET application form and follow all instructions printed on the admit card.Candidates are advised to wear simple clothes. Female candidates can wear mangalsutra, bindi and sindoor. Baptized Christian and Sikh candidates will be allowed to carry religious symbols as per prescribed norms.Prohibited items and special arrangementsCell phones, smartwatches, watches, Bluetooth devices, headphones, pagers, calculators, cameras, health bracelets, wallets, wallets, plastic bags, documents, notes, small slips of paper, diary sheets and jewelry, including rings, necklaces, earrings, pendants, necklaces and other metal items, are not allowed into the examination room.A national control room has been set up at the BSEH headquarters and regional and headquarters flying teams will supervise and inspect. CCTV cameras have been installed at all centres, ambulance services will continue to be available and candidates can seek police assistance through 112 if needed and additional buses have been arranged on selected routes.
