July 2026 will be a busy month for the Indian automobile industry, with multiple new car launches across multiple segments. Additionally, some manufacturers may launch special editions and updated versions of existing products in preparation for the festive season in the coming months. In this article, we take a look at the upcoming cars as well as those released in July 2026.Skoda Kodiaq RSThe Skoda Kodiaq RS is the first car on the list and is expected to be launched in the coming days. This limited-edition performance SUV quickly aroused strong interest from car fans across the country. All 50 units allocated for India were sold out in just six minutes after bookings opened. With all 50 units now sold out, it remains to be seen whether Skoda Auto India will allocate more Kodiaq RS models to the Indian market.

Skoda will import the high-performance SUV as a complete unit (CBU) and is expected to be priced between Rs 50 lakh and Rs 55 lakh (ex-showroom). The new Skoda Kodiaq RS will be powered by a 2.0-liter 4-cylinder turbo petrol engine that produces 265 horsepower and 400 Newton meters of torque. Compared to the regular Kodiaq, the RS offers an additional 60 hp and 80 Nm of torque. Notably, this engine is tuned to be the same unit that powers the Octavia RS and Golf GTI. It comes with a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission that sends power to all four wheels.2026 Reynolds QuaidThe next car on the list is the new 2026 Renault Kwid, which will be launched in the Indian market tomorrow. Exterior changes are likely to include redesigned front and rear bumpers, as well as a new set of alloy wheels. Renault has yet to reveal cabin updates, although the hatchback is expected to get an improved interior and some new features. The mechanical package is likely to remain unchanged, with the 1.0-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine continuing to produce 67bhp and 91Nm. Buyers are expected to have the option of a five-speed manual gearbox or a five-speed AMT, while dealer-fitted CNG kits may also continue to be available.Nissan Tecton Next up is the Nissan Tekton, which will make its world premiere on July 9, 2026. The front of the new Nissan Tekton SUV features a wide front grille with a red horizontal strip running across it and an illuminated Nissan logo in the centre. The SUV also features full-width LED DRL signatures connected to the headlight units, which contain L-shaped lighting elements. Other exterior highlights include a sculpted bonnet with prominent character lines, a central bonnet scoop and Tekton badging.

At the rear, the SUV will feature a roof spoiler, sloping windshield, C-joint taillights and a large bumper. In terms of dimensions, the SUV is expected to be similar to the new Renault Duster, with a length of 4,345 mm, a width of 1,815 mm, a height of 1,703 mm and a wheelbase of 2,657 mm.Tekton is expected to share its engine options with the new Duster. 1.0-liter 3-cylinder turbocharged gasoline engine with 100 horsepower and 160 Newton-meters of torque, paired with a 6-speed manual transmission. The other engine is a 1.3-liter 4-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine with 163 hp and 280 Nm of torque, mated to a 6-speed DCT or 6-speed manual transmission. There’s also a larger 1.8-liter hybrid gasoline engine with 109 hp, paired with a 49 hp electric motor and a 20 hp Hybrid Starter Generator (HSG), paired with a 1.4 kWh (280V) battery. Together, this configuration provides a combined system output of 160 hp and 172 Nm. We still don’t know what engine options the new Tekton will offer. Maruti Suzuki Brezza Plastic surgery Next up is Maruti Suzuki Brezza It’s expected to launch sometime this month. In terms of design, the overall silhouette of the new car remains unchanged; the upcoming version may have significant modifications to its styling and equipment. In the latest spy photos, the rear of the SUV is captured. The facelifted model will feature a redesigned front bumper and a refreshed grille. Similar cosmetic tweaks are expected at the rear. Interestingly, despite the growing trend of connected taillights in new SUVs, the updated Brezza is not expected to feature this design element, based on recently revealed images. Other exterior highlights include new 16-inch alloy wheels, stylish LED headlights with DRLs, roof rails and an integrated rear spoiler.Mechanically, the 2026 Brezza is expected to receive minor suspension tweaks and a recent test mule was fitted with a 6-speed manual gearbox, suggesting that Maruti Suzuki may introduce additional gears compared to the current setup. This change is likely to increase gear ratios for smoother highway cruising. While there are speculations that the 1.0-litre three-cylinder Boosterjet turbo-petrol engine of the Maruti Suzuki Fronx may be available in the Brezza, there is no official confirmation yet.Honda ZR-V Next up is the Honda ZR-V. Bookings for Honda ZR-V are in progress. Interested customers can book the SUV online or visit their nearest dealership. A pricing announcement is expected sometime this month. The SUV will be purchased in India through the CBU route. This will push its pricing to higher levels due to import duties and related costs. The SUV is likely to be priced around Rs 50 lakh (ex-showroom). After its launch, its competitors include Volkswagen Tiguan, Skoda Kodiaq, Nissan X-Trail, etc.In terms of power system, the ZR-V will be equipped with a 2.0-liter four-cylinder gasoline engine and dual electric motors. The powerful hybrid engine produces a combined power of 184 hp and 315 Nm. It comes with an e-CVT automatic transmission that sends power to the front wheels. Honda says the ZR-V can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 8 seconds. It has an electronically limited top speed of 172 km/h and a claimed fuel efficiency of 22.79 km/h. In global markets, the ZR-V is available with all-wheel drive (AWD) and a 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine.Design-wise, the ZR-V sports a crossover-like design with clean surfaces. At the front, it features a large grille and wide LED headlights, cleverly integrated into the dashboard, creating a restrained yet striking presence. In profile, the SUV is lower than typical, with a sloping roofline and a long wheelbase, giving its proportions closer to a bulging hatchback than a traditional tall SUV.New MG SUVNext up is a new SUV from JSW MG Motor India. The company is expected to launch the Wuling Starlight 560. This model has applied for a design patent in India in March. Measuring 4,745 mm in length, the SUV offers three rows of seats, can accommodate seven passengers, and comes with LED headlights, LED taillights and 18-inch alloy wheels. The car is equipped with a dual-sound cabin, a 12.8-inch touch screen infotainment system, an 8.8-inch digital instrument panel, a six-speaker sound system, a 50W wireless mobile phone charger and a panoramic sunroof.Internationally, the Starlight 560 is available with plug-in hybrid and all-electric powertrains. The plug-in hybrid features a 1.5-liter petrol engine, a front-mounted electric motor and a 20.5 kWh battery, producing 195 horsepower and 230 Newton meters of torque, with a claimed range of more than 1,000 kilometers. The EV version uses a 69.2kWh battery and a 201hp electric motor, with a claimed CLTC range of 530 kilometers. It’s unclear which version will be available in India.
