NEW DELHI: Another snub Vinesh FugatThe Wrestling Federation of India (WFI) rejected her request to participate in three upcoming international matches, including the Hungarian Ranking Series in Budapest.The federation cited her suspension period and unsatisfactory reply to the show-cause notice as reasons for rejection.Vines is seeking to compete in next month’s Spanish Grand Prix in Budapest, the Polyak Imre, Varga Janos and Kozma István Memorial Ranking Series as part of his comeback plan after failing to qualify for Aito-Nagoya, as well as last August’s Polish Open in Warsaw. Asian Games.WFI sources said the federation will not send teams to the events in Spain and Poland, while qualification for the Hungarian competition has been finalized before Vinesh ends her ban on June 26 – the last date for sending Hungarian qualifications is June 15.The federation also insists her suspension remains in effect pending disciplinary proceedings and court hearings.Sources further pointed out that Vinesh is not part of the national camp, has not participated in domestic events and does not hold a national ranking. Only Asian Games-bound wrestlers and the second and third placed wrestlers in the men’s and women’s weight categories are being considered for Hungary, while India has already fulfilled its quota in the 53kg category – the category in which Vinesh usually competes.
