ChatGPT went through a break. The an outburst tracking website — Fall detector — also received reports from several users suggesting that they were unable to access OpenAI‘s chatbot.
According to the report, around 91% people are facing problems while accessing ChatGPT. About 7% of users were unable to access the website and the rest were unable to log into their ChatGPT account.
Users also took to X (formerly Twitter) to post about the ongoing outage.
What OpenAI has to say
While users were facing issues accessing ChatGPT, OpenAI’s official status page also confirmed the outage. The company referred to the issue as “increased latency and errors affecting both ChatGPT and APIs.
Also, the service is now back online, according to OpenAI’s official status page, and the latency issue has been resolved. “Performance is now back to normal,” the official site says.
To confirm this, the TOI Tech team also tried accessing ChatGPT on the web as well as through the mobile app and in both places, ChatGPT seems to be working fine without any issues.
