Gene Wilder played the eponymous character in the 1971 live-action film and became part of history through his legacy. He will return in the artificial intelligence-generated reality show “Wonka’s Golden Ticket,” which will premiere on September 23, 2026.

The show will revolve around 12 Golden Ticket holders, who, accompanied by their partners, will enter a version of Wonka’s Chocolate Factory and play games to determine the final winner. Wilder’s wife, Karen B. The reality show will star Rusty Goffe, who played the Oompa Loompa in the movie, reprising his role in The Challenge.
