The Haryana State Staff Selection Commission (HSSC) will close the online application process for Group C recruitment 2026 today (June 30, 2026). Eligible candidates who have passed Group C of the CET Common Eligibility Test (CET) 2025 can submit their applications through the official HSSC recruitment portal before 11:59 pm.The recruitment drive is being conducted under Advertisement No. 06/2026 to fill 1,238 Group C vacancies in different departments of the Haryana Government. Candidates who have not yet applied are advised to complete the registration process and not wait until the last minute.
HSSC Group C Recruitment 2026: Vacancy Details
This recruitment includes the following positions:
- Assistant Warden of the Prison (Male): 30 posts
- Assistant Warden of the Prison (Female): 3 posts
- Prison guard (male): 1,093 posts
- Prison guard (female): 112 posts
A total of 1,238 vacancies will be filled in this recruitment exercise.
Eligibility criteria
Candidates applying for the post of Assistant Warden of Prisons must possess a postgraduate degree from a recognized university.For the post of Prison Warden, candidates must have passed Class 12 or equivalent examination. They should also have studied Hindi or Sanskrit at Matric level or above.Candidates must also meet the prescribed physical standards and pass the required physical tests.
Selection process
The selection process includes the following stages:
- written examination
- Physical measurement tests (if applicable)
- Physical screening test (qualifying in nature)
- Document verification
The written test consists of 100 multiple-choice questions, with a maximum score of 100 points. Candidates will have 1 hour and 45 minutes to complete the paper.No points will be deducted for wrong answers. However, candidates must mark the fifth option for each unanswered question. If they leave a question completely blank without selecting the fifth option, one point will be deducted for each such question.
