The latest film in Bollywood’s zombie apocalypse genre, the film has been creating buzz since last year. Currently, according to the latest reports, the actors will start filming in Australia in September and have begun preparations.

According to a Pinkvilla report, Ranveer Singh is all set to head to Australia to start shooting for Jay Mehta’s directorial feature Pralay. It has been revealed that pre-production work on the film has already begun in Australia.The report mentioned, “Ranveer will start shooting for the film directed by Jai Mehta in the second half of 2026. The filming is scheduled to take place in Australia and he has already started preparations. Given the scale and genre, the film required intense physical and emotional preparation. “Not only that, but the crew behind the film will also be made up of many of the technicians and supervisors who have worked extensively on international projects prior to Pralay.‘

The film had a budget of around Rs 300 crore, making it one of Singh’s most expensive films to date. Another statement from the report also adds that the film will rely heavily on VFX and special effects and the production team is focusing on all the details. The statement read: “Pralay will rely heavily on visual effects. Jai and his team are actively working on the script, visual details and the larger zombie universe. Ranveer is also involved in daily creative discussions. “The film will explore the theme of a zombie apocalypse ravaging the world and bringing humanity to its knees. The story will center on a couple who will do whatever it takes to survive in the apocalypse.The film has been labeled a new film, with Jai Mehta telling Variety India, “This is a film that has not been made in India, a film that India has never seen before.”

Meanwhile, Ranveer Singh is making headlines for his controversial exit from his upcoming project ‘Don 3’. The actor refused to speak to the media in any way about the incident, Free Press Journal reported. According to reports, Singh will prioritize his work and filming for the next 18 months and will not interact with the media. The report’s statement said that the “Bajirao Mastani” actor was approached by a business reporter; however, “I met him personally. He told me that he would not comment on the Tang 3 controversy and would not give any interviews for at least 18 months. “Finally, Kalyani Priyadarshini is rumored to star in the film alongside Ranveer Singh; however, neither the production team nor the actress herself has confirmed it. However, if the actress is indeed interested in the upcoming project, it will mark her Bollywood debut after the success of Lokah Chapter 1: Chandra.
