director Dingis Ayatan celebrated an unforgettable milestone in his filmmaking career. His debut film “Kakshi: Amini Pila”, starring Asif Ali Leading the way, seven years have passed since its release. To mark the occasion, the filmmaker took to Instagram to open up about the long road to finally directing his first film.

Dingis spoke in a social media post about the years of hard work, patience and uncertainty that shaped his career leading up to his directorial debut.Sharing his thoughts, he wrote, “Today marks the seventh anniversary of the release of Kakshi: Amini Pila. It took me almost nine years to complete my first film. Like every filmmaker, I had my share of struggles, waits, hopes, confusions and small triumphs. But looking back now, it all feels like a sweet memory.”Kakshi: Amini Pira was released in 2019, starring Asif Ali, Basil Joseph, Farah Shibra and Ahmed Siddique. The courtroom comedy was directed by Dingis and received a positive response from audiences and critics.

Dinjith Ayyathan’s recent works, including “Kishkindha Kaandam” and “Kerala Crime Files: Season 2”, have received widespread appreciation. Now, he is back with thriller Eko starring Sandeep Pradeep.He had earlier told ETimes in an interview, “There is no specific formula behind it – I choose animals only when the story really requires it. Even in my previous film ‘Krishnan’, monkeys naturally belonged to the narrative. Similarly, in ‘Eko’, the presence of animal species was crucial to the plot and emotional journey of the story.”Vineeth, Narayan, Binupap and Ashoka also play important roles in the film. The story revolves around the mysterious disappearance of a dog owner. As the investigation unfolds, the mystery deepens with some unexpected twists and revelations.
