Eggers has carved a unique voice in the horror genre throughout his career. In addition to “Nosferatu” and the upcoming “Werewolf,” he also directed “Northerners,” an ambitious period piece that blended historical drama with elements of mythological horror. His early work, The Witches , starring Anya Taylor-Joy and Ralph Ineson, was a terrifying exploration of the anxieties and supernatural fears of colonial America.According to Variety, Eggers directed the 2019 psychological horror film “The Lighthouse” starring Rob Pattinson and Willem Dafoe, which won critical acclaim for its atmospheric cinematography and unsettling narrative. His talent for filming historical events and adding that extra touch of visceral horror has made him one of the most coveted horror filmmakers working today.
