According to Cinema Express, Preity Mukhundhan said during the promotions of her upcoming film “Idhayam Murali”, “‘Blast’ was an unconventional decision. If it were me, many heroines would be scared to play such a role.” She said that she has always wanted to play an action role and is grateful for the love she received after the release of the film. “I’ve always wanted to play an action-oriented character, so I’m very happy and grateful for the audience’s response after it was released,” she added.Talking about the movie, “Blast” tells the story of a family of warriors who get involved in a larger conspiracy. They are forced to fight against criminal syndicates to protect themselves and survive.

Preity Mukhundhan talks ‘Idhayam Murali’ character

During the event, Preity Mukhundhan was asked if her character in Idhayam Murali will be similar to Blast, Preity said that the two characters are completely different.She said: “I had signed Idayam Murali before shooting ‘Bang’ and my character in this film will be more enjoyable and in stark contrast to the character that the audience saw in ‘Bang’.”“Idhayam Murali” is directed by Aakash Bhaskaran and stars Atharvaa in the lead role. The film also stars Kayadu Lohar, Fahadh Faasil, Rakshan, Dravid Selvam, Sudhakar and Angeline. It is expected to be released in theaters on July 10.

Talking about her work front, Preity Mukhundhan lists out several interesting projects. She will be seen in her second Telugu film Emo Emo Idi opposite Roshan Meka. In Tamil, she sang “Dashamakan” with Harish Kalyan.
